General tips and tricks
Use fresh fruit and vegetables, as they contain more juice.
Remove stones from cherries, plums, peaches etc. You do not have to remove cores or seeds from fruits like melons, apples and grapes.
Remove thick peels that you would not eat, e.g. those of oranges, pineapples, kiwis, melons, pomegranates and uncooked beetroots. When juicing citrus fruits, also remove the white pith, as it gives a bitter taste.
Leaves and leaf stalks of e.g. lettuce can also be processed in the juicer. To get the most out of your leafy greens, roll them up before juicing and juice the greens in between hard fruits like apples or carrots.
The thickness of apple juice depends on the kind of apple you use. The juicier the apple, the thinner the juice. Choose a kind of apple that produces the type of juice you prefer.
What can be juiced with Centrifugal Juicers?
You can juice almost any kind of fruit, vegetable or leafy green. Pineapples, beetroots, celery stalks, apples, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons, oranges and grapes are particularly suitable for processing in the centrifugal juicer.
Very hard, fibrous, or starchy fruits or vegetables, such as sugar cane, bananas, mangos and avocados, are not suitable for juicing in this appliance. Use a blender instead.
What can be juiced with Slow/Masticating Juicers?
You can juice almost any kind of fruit, vegetable or leafy green. The juicer is especially suitable for ingredients like berries, tomatoes, spinach, pineapples, pomegranates, celery stalks, oranges, apples, pears, grapes, carrots and cucumbers.
Additionally, you can juice starchy ingredients such as bananas, mangos, avocados or even almonds for special recipes like banana milk or almond milk (see recipe book or NutriU App) and wheatgrass and leaves for healthy green juices.
The juicer is not able to process very hard ingredients, such as sugar cane.
